Curiously, while there is a fair share of professional staffing industries in Colorado –including several medical staffing agencies– there are no agencies which place emphasis on the legal field. With the steady increase in the need for legal services and the apparent void of any local organization to link this need with attorneys and firms (who are simply too busy to bear the burden of having not only to secure clients, but also to find sufficient staff to assist in serving those clients), My Legal Team is poised to take advantage and pick up the slack.

We believe that MLT addresses many of the inefficiencies that adversely impact the legal field and staffing industry alike. The research and support segments of the legal field are highly fragmented and are driven by local demand, yet predominately facilitated by companies outside of Colorado. Law firms and legal professionals lack accurate and relevant information and services from outside companies who attempt to staff legal professionals and legal support team members in Colorado– without ever having met them face-to-face by conducting telephone interviews and implementing virtual qualification processes. Time, money, and opportunity costs are often needlessly expended by trial and error of these outside companies who are often unsuccessful in placing the right staff with the right firm in accordance with that firm’s individualized needs. Personnel are transferred multiple times through the outside company and most procurement processes are inefficient and labor-intensive. MLT is designed to simplify that process.
In today’s technological age, the internet offers the opportunity to create a compelling global marketplace for person-to-person trading—the exchange of goods and services between individuals. This trading has served well to distribute goods across long distances, but leaves a vacuum for local markets where services are performed rather than goods delivered. This is particularly true for professional services to businesses. For a local market needing professional and business-to-business services, internet-based or virtual companies are highly inefficient because: (i) their fragmented, regional nature makes it difficult and expensive for local businesses to meet and negotiate for their services; (ii) they offer a limited variety and breadth of services; (iii) there is little, if any, oversight for services rendered or quality control; (iv) they often have high transaction costs and value markup; (v) they are information inefficient, as local businesses and professionals lack a reliable, convenient, and secure means of setting parameters for service-related needs, negotiations, and quality control when they utilize remote services from an online or out of state company.
In light of these inefficiencies, our company believes that the market for business-to-business professional services needs to stay local and in close proximity to the parties utilizing those services. A local, brick-and-mortar professional services company can overcome the inefficiencies associated with an impersonal, largely contactless virtual business model with woefully insufficient supervision of services —which only breeds variables and uncertainty— in an industry where there is no room for error and which is held to the strictest standards in society. Indeed, precision and other standards for legal services predate our society. These principles have stood timeless and undisturbed since the ancient Greeks established virtues of democracy, the Romans established justice, and the English (from which American law is derived) adopted these principles. These societies applied the law from their jurisdiction and relied on aid from people within their borders.
